Approach: I was very drawn to the idea of making a character for my rhyming pairs since I'm a character designer, so for my final concept I chose "Combat Cat." My goal was to make sure you understood exactly what his character entailed by using minimal details like bandages and a bleeding nose. Using these minor graphic details rather than placing him in a more obvious setting like a boxing ring makes for a more iconic composition. Through further critique from Nathan, I added halftone dots to emphasize his "comic" like appearance.
